The ENT Surgeon may be known as an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon or as an ENT Specialist. They may also be known as an Otolaryngologist or as a Head and Neck Surgeon. The Consultant ENT Surgeon is a surgeon who specialises in operations and disorders of the ear, nose and throat. The Consultant ENT Surgeon deals with deafness and hearing aid management and is involved with inner ear problems such as tinnitus and balance problems. They perform operations such as tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, grommet insertion for glue ear, nasal and sinus operations, throat and larynx operations and operations on the neck.
