If would like legal advice and/or representation, the lawyers whom we refer to may be able to offer you a NO WIN NO PAY agreement. CARDIOLOGY
The Consultant Cardiologist is a doctor specialising in cardiac or heart problems. While most cardiologists are trained in all aspects of cardiology, areas of special expertise include cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography, interventional procedures including angioplasty and artherectomy, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, electrophysiology (diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias), exercise testing and cardiac rehabilitation.
Examples of clinical areas where some cardiologists have failed in their duty of care and provided negligent cardiology treatment: the management of patients who have had a heart attack, suffer from angina or heart failure or suffer from long-term ischaemic heart disease, cardiac catheterisation or pacemaker insertion. It is not just cardiologists who can be negligent and misdiagnose a heart condition. General practitioners have also been sued for failing to diagnose heart conditions. Examples include when a person is having chest pain and goes to a doctor or hospital for that problem. Sometimes an EKG (electrical tracing of the heart) is done, and shows a heart problem but the condition is diagnosed as something else such as a stomach problem, or reflux, etc. Sometimes the appropriate diagnostic tests are not conducted in the first place when they should have. Not every death or injury which occurs in conjunction with medical care is the result of medical negligence. Most medical providers are competent, dedicated, and committed professionals. However, negligence in our hospitals and by doctors does occur in the area of cardiology, with most unfortunate consequences being physical damage to the patient, or even death. If you are concerned about the level of care you received relating to cardiology, a heart problem, heart attack, we can arrange for a medical negligence lawyer to review your case. You may be entitled to compensation. We are firmly committed to helping you find out if you or a loved one has suffered injuries or death as a result of medical negligence.
